In hindsight, it seems fitting that I ended this journey wearing my Hawt Dawg Man T-Shirt, which I didn't even realize until a few seconds ago. And what a journey it was.

The first thing that strikes you is the obvious upgrade the graphics have received - it's a welcome change which allows for greater immersion in the story. The idea of not possessing powers but rather shaping someone else who does is also unique, and I really loved it. This is certainly an unmissable game, for fans of the franchise. I'd suggest getting it during a sale though.

I was surprised at the number of endings; the one I got failed to evoke the feelings in me that I experience every time I reach the end of Life is Strange. I attribute this purely to the fact that I relate to Max way more than I ever could to Sean, which allows for that extra emotional investment in the characters. While in Sean's case I was able to view the events through his eyes, with Max it went deeper than that - her responses and insights felt eerily very much like my own - be it her reaction when offered a swig of beer or a reference she'd make to a movie. Sean would be more relatable to most other players, I guess - a teenager with a decent high school life and a weed stash in his room for the occasional joint. I appreciate the change in perspective though, no complaints against it.

With all its ups and downs, Sean and Daniel's journey made for a very entertaining watch, and was just as gripping - and at times, dare I say, more so - than the original, upping the thrill-factor considerably. Highly recommended to fans of story-rich games, even if you are yet to play the first instalment in the franchise!
