Assassin's Creed II

ASSASSIN'S CREED II

Assassin's Creed II, the second game of the Assassin's Creed series, adds a new constant to the equation - Ezio Auditore (Desmond's Italian ancestor). It is recommended that you begin with Assassin's Creed I to get a better understanding of the game.

PLOT:

The plot considerably thickens. The game starts with Desmond and Lucy escaping from Abstergo Industries' confinement (Lucy turns out to be an Assassin working undercover at Abstergo). Lucy then takes Desmond to fellow Assassin's Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane, who hope to train Desmond and turn him into an expert Assassin. To help him do this, they make him experience his Italian ancestor, Ezio's memories via a machine somewhat similar to the Animus.
Moving over to Ezio's story, the game follows his life's story from being a rash youth to a wise and deadly Assassin. Ezio's father and brothers are hanged, accused of a conspiracy they never hatched. Ezio vows to take revenge. This leads to the unfurling of a much larger conspiracy that threatens the royal family of Italy. This takes Ezio on an adventure across various cities (Florence, Venice etc.) which are beautifully detailed.

In the end, Desmond and Co. are seen escaping after an encounter with the Templars, who (led by Vidic) discover their hiding place.

GAMEPLAY:

In terms of gameplay, this is one sweet game. Those who have played Assassin's Creed I will notice a lot more changes. The player is able to carry a lot of weapons, and also "fast-travel" to several destinations. Oh, and now you can swim and pilot gondolas too. Neat, huh?
Ezio has a wider range of combat moves as compared to Altair. The story mode is a very long one, which promises to keep you entertained for a long time. In addition to this, there is the "renovation" system which allows you to upgrade your mansion and renovate shops, adding to your revenue. Apart from this, there are about a hundred things that you can do to keep yourself entertained. Personally, I feel that this is one of the best Assassin's Creed games.

This game is fully worth the money and is guaranteed to give you hours of entertainment. I'd give it a 4.25 out of 5.

UPDATE (18/02/19): "Hiding place?" What the hell was I thinking? Again - guys, I don't do troubleshooting anymore. I don't know why I offered to do that in the first place.
